The SCP Foundation is a fictional organization documented by the collaborative writing project of the same name. Within the website's shared universe, the Foundation is responsible for capturing and containing various paranormal, supernatural, and other mysterious phenomena unexplained by mainstream science (known as "anomalies" or "SCPs"), while also keeping their existence hidden from the rest of global human society.
The Foundation has three primary missions:
- Secure - The Foundation secures anomalies to prevent them from falling into the hands of civilian or rival agencies.
- Contain - The Foundation contains anomalies to prevent their influence or effects from spreading.
- Protect - The Foundation protects humanity from the effects of anomalies and the anomalies themselves until they are fully understood.
Site-64 is one of the many facilities operated by the SCP Foundation, specializing in the containment and research of various anomalous entities and objects.
